March 23-25 in Sofia (Bulgaria) hosted the international tournament "Dan Kolov and Nikola Petrov" on women's wrestling. Russians won twelve medals among which only one gold.
Svetlana Lipatova became the winner of the tournament in the category up to 59 kg. Ekaterina Bukina, Anastasia Bratchikova, Milan Dadasheva, Ekaterina Poleshchuk, Olga Khoroshavtseva and Svetlana Babushkina - silver medalists. Nadezhda Sokolova, Ksenia Nezgovorova, Nina Mencenova, Tatyana Smolyak and Valeria Suvorova have bronze medals. This was reported by the press service of the Wrestling Federation of the Smolensk region.
Bronze reward in the treasury of the national team in these competitions brought a student of the Smolensk State College (technical school) of the Olympic reserve Nadezhda Sokolova, becoming third in the weight category up to 50 kg.
She lost only in the semifinal match to Azerbaijani Maria Stadnik, who eventually became the winner of the tournament, having beaten the Russian woman Milan Dadashev in the final.
